The creatively-named Car Inventory Management System is a full-fledged stack application created using Spring Boot 2.2 during my time at NUS-ISS with several others. It incorporates many Spring Boot features such as Spring Security and Spring Email. There are two roles, Mechanic or Administrator. The Administrator has access to all of the Mechanic's functions as well as some other features, like the management of staff (registration of staff is limited in such a closed system) and the configuration of stock limits.

On a day-to-day basis, a Mechanic is able to see stock numbers present in the system from different vehicle part brands, suppliers, and search level numbers in the product inventory. The Mechanic however, cannot perform Create, Read, Update and Delete (CRUD) functions, which is completed by the Admin. The admin, additionally, may create a usage form in the product inventory for safekeep, and create new re-order reports that are saved server side and on the admin's side. The system automatically generates email reminders for admins and KAHs regarding low stock.

The Grey-headed flying fox (Pteropus poliocephalus) is in fact not a type of fox, but a type of mega bat that is fairly common, however vulnerable in urban areas. Through better awareness, the conservation of the species has been significant and is protected under Australian federal law. The importance of its protection has risen even more as concrete jungles replace green jungles, and the natural roosting habitats of the bats slowly disappear. Many have since moved into specific wooded areas with favourable conditions, which are often in urban parks in the vicinity of housing developments.

Although many Australians are aware of their conservation effort, living with them prove difficult for some. Their stench, droppings, damage to urban crop as well as the loud squabbling noise at times of day prove to be a nuisance to neighbours. Some even fear the implications of bats and diseases they may carry.

On behalf of the Manly Environmental Centre (MEC), our team devised a project to educate the public on suitable ways of living among these critters. We have also suggested public education boards set up at public park areas and proposed methods of environmental engineering to mitigate nuisance problems.

This project was initially test run as a familiarisation of the ArcGIS toolset in real-life usage. At the time, parts of Ryde City located in suburban Sydney, Australia, flourished with new developments and refurbishments, leading to local geospatial data being outdated. This week long project involved the physical creation of location-based shapefiles through physical survey, and predictions of future landscape changes through simple python analyses via MatLab.

I have had a fond interest in Data Science and through self-study and the aforementioned vision, i have made it proficient. Working with GeTS of CrimsonLogic (Singapore), I had my first taste of practical data science through the analysis of real world data. Global E-Trade Services (GeTS) is a new division in Singapore with projects interested in the shipping and transport sector. I analysed and reviewed the multitude of transactional and shipping data as well as user interactions through GeTS's three main platforms and using many data analyses technologies managed to find points of analysis and suggested better business directions.
